The Self-Directed Learning Readiness Scale is designed to measure the complex of attitudes, abilities and characteristics which comprise readiness to engage in self-directed learning. The SDLRS has been used by more that 500 major organizations from around the world. More than 100,000 adults and 10,000 children have taken the SDLRS. It is the most widely used instrument of its kind in the world and it has been translated into more than 17 languages including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Arabic, Polish, Russian, Finnish and Lithuanian.  The SDLRS has an extensive bibliograph of research. The Bibliography of Research contains  research citations by author, title, publication and year. More than 100 doctoral dissertations have been completed from Universities throughout the world using the SDLRS.
